Phonak Receiver 5.0 offers improvements in comfort and cerumen protection vs Phonak Receiver 4.0, making it a better choice for those who experience issues with the Cerushield wax guards.

• Design: The Receiver 5.0 has a slightly curved top where the dome attaches, making it more comfortable. It also features a white line next to the size/power indicator, which helps distinguish it from the Receiver 4.0
• Cerumen Protection: Receiver 5.0 utilises the CeruStop filter, which is an improvement over the Cerushield used with Receiver 4.0. The CeruStop filter is larger and more practical, especially for those with vision or dexterity limitations
• Compatibility: Both receivers are compatible with Phonak Audeo Marvel, Paradise, and Lumity hearing aids. However, Receiver 5.0 is designed to work better with the CeruStop filter, addressing many complaints about the Cerushield panel

Phonak Hearing Aid Receiver 4.0

The Phonak Receiver 4.0, launched in 2018, is compatible with the following family of Phonak hearing aids:

• Phonak Audeo Lumity
• Phonak Audeo Paradise
• Phonak Audeo Marvel

The tip on the right receiver wire is red, and the tip on the left receiver is blue. On the tip printed in white letters is the power level (S, M or P) followed by the receiver length (size 0, 1, 2 or 3).

The other end of the receiver has three gold pins, rather than two on previous versions. Therefore older receivers are not be compatible with Phonak Marvel and Phonak Paradise ranges, and the new 4.0 Phonak receivers are not compatible with older Phonak Audeo models.
